The publicly listed Semperit Group is a global manufacturer of sophisticated and functionally critical polymer products and solutions. Semperit provides services to a wide range of industries, including agriculture, manufacturing, renewable energy, transportation, household and medical. Products include hydraulic and industrial hoses, conveyor belts, escalator handrails, construction profiles, ropeway sheave & bullwheel liners and gloves - as well as products for railroad tracks. To digitally represent the broad range of services and expertise of the Semperit Group in a contemporary way, we worked together intensively to set the strategic course for the digital ecosystem. The result? A new website that fits like a glove.
With the introduction of the Core Web Vitals in summer 2021, Google has once again refined its ranking mechanism and now attaches particular importance to user experience and user-friendliness based on the three indicators of loading time, interactivity and visual stability. In addition to optimizing the discoverability of the website, the relaunch of the website intended to emphasize the digital positioning of the brand with a new, modern look and feel which makes the versatility of the products and solutions of the Semperit Group shine in a new light.
The project was kicked off by an in-depth analysis phase spanning several months in which the direction of the digital strategy was determined: As part of the human-centered design process, the existing logic of the web presence was rethought together with the client and unified on a representation (group) and product level (product category pages). This restructuring and separation of the respective contents strengthened the master brand Semperit and enabled the target group-specific communication of technical and customer-specific information in a uniform look and feel.
"It was important to us to make the variety of Semperit products and intelligent solutions and their areas of application more tangible. After all, our products accompany many users throughout the day, be it on the escalator in the metro station or in the shopping center, with our sealing profiles in windows and doors or the diverse areas of application of our industrial and hydraulic hoses. The digitalwerk team managed to address each product segment individually and at the same time create a coherent and modernized overall image for the Semperit Group. We received professional support right from the start of the project and were able to strengthen Semperit's brand image together."
